Lisa Marie Presley said she saw things she "couldn't do anything about" during her marriage to Michael Jackson, according to excerpts of an interview with an Australian talk show.

Presley said she felt powerless during her 1994-1996 marriage to Jackson, who faces child molestation charges, but she refused to elaborate in the interview with Australian Broadcasting Corp.'s respected "Enough Rope" talk show.

Written excerpts of the interview, which was to be broadcast on Monday night, were released Sunday.

Presley said she felt "powerless in a lot of ways, in terms of ... realizing that I was part of a machine, and seeing things going on that I couldn't do anything about," she said. "And don't ask me what sort of things, because I'm not going to answer. But just stuff."

Jackson has pleaded innocent to seven counts of performing lewd or lascivious acts on a child under 14 and two counts of administering an intoxicating agent, reportedly wine. He is free on $3 million bail pending trial.

Asked by host Andrew Denton whether it was difficult to be in a relationship where she felt powerless, Presley said: "It was, that's why I left."

Lisa Marie Presley was in Australia promoting her own singing career.

Asked how she felt about Jackson now, Presley replied: "It's really bizarre, I feel nothing."

per leggere veloce, ho letto "it's" per "he's"...

A otto anni di distanza dalla fine del matrimonio, Lisa Marie Presley ha raccontato a una televisione australiana i motivi che l'hanno spinta a mollare il Re Del Pop: “Mi sentivo impotente, in molti modi” ha spiegato la figlia di Elvis “Era come se facessi parte di una grande macchina e vedevo cose nelle quali non potevo assolutamente intervenire.
Non chiedetemi quali cose perché non risponderò.
Mi sono sentita manipolata da Jackson”.

Queste rivelazioni potrebbero però interessare il procuratore Sneddon, colui che ha presentato le accuse formali nei confronti di Michael Jackson riguardo alle nove accuse di condotta oscena e lasciva nei confronti di un 14enne.

La Presley sposò Jacko nel Maggio del 1994 e venne ‘manipolata' per 19 mesi.

Alla fine dell'intervista, il giornalista ha chiesto alla Presley cosa provasse per quello che sta succedendo a Michael: “E' strano, non provo nulla!”.

POLICE were yesterday waiting to question Lisa Marie Presley after she admitted seeing "things" during her marriage to Michael Jackson.

It was the first hint from the star's former wife that she might have witnessed inappropriate behaviour by Jackson.

She talked of "seeing things going on that I couldn't do anything about". And the 35-year-old added: "And don't ask me what sort of things because I'm not going to answer...it's just stuff."

Presley was speaking in Australia where she is promoting a new album.

But she dodged most questions about Jackson, whom she married in May 1994. She said: "It was nine years ago, can't really remember."

Santa Barbara police will quiz Presley, who split from @#%$ after 20 months when she returns.

Jackson, 45, pleaded not guilty in January to seven charges of lewd and lascivious behaviour with a minor and administering an intoxicating agent.
