Carol Angela Davis, a graduate of Case Western Reserve School of Law and Bryn Mawr College, presently directs the daily creative, marketing and content operations of online broadcasting network MagnaBand.net. She is an award winning and local Emmy nominated broadcast journalist with more than 25 years experience in the television, radio and print industries. From both a business and creative standpoint, Ms. Davis is on the forefront of establishing the standard in internet television broadcasting, creating the business models that drive revenue and putting together the dynamic partnerships that establish and sustain an audience base.
Taking note of her accomplishments in the area of New Media, Today's Chicago Woman called her "A Woman To Watch"; Bryn Mawr Now featured her for her work as she "pioneers internet programming" citing her for "structuring new media ventures" and "fashioning new careers"; Illinois Technology Magazine called her "Citizen Can" and Chicago Underground named her "a force to be reckoned with".
Ms. Davis migrated to the web as a medium to reach global audiences with television programming, using unique targeted content in vertical markets. On the web she is able to take advantage of the unique attributes of technology as a way of delivering affordable content using new combinations of traditional and non-traditional media.
Ms. Davis acquired expertise in production management, production, writing, distribution, syndication, concept creation/development and as on air talent - working in live and tape venues. In addition, she founded The MediaInfoNet, Inc, a media and marketing company which took corporate and institutional messages and shaped them for targeted markets using radio, print and television as distribution vehicles. Her client roster includes the Chicago Stock Exchange, Edison International, the City of Chicago Empowerment Zone, the Chicago Housing Authority, the Illinois Secretary of State's Office, American Express, the Kenwood Fund and the Chicago Urban League.
As on-air talent, Ms. Davis worked with Tribune Broadcasting's WGN-TV News as a Writer/Producer and Reporter, with WEHS-TV as Host/Interviewer for the issue oriented program In Your Interest, with WYCC-TV (PBS) as Anchor/Interviewer of Educate! And with WCIU-TV as Host/Interviewer for the Urban Business Review of the Stock Market Observer. In addition her radio program "Each And Everyday" focusing on consumer and business issues, aired on over 125 stations reaching over 15 million people a month for 5 years. This show helped establish infomercial programming on radio venues. In print, Ms. Davis used comic strip storylines to illustrate the nuances of consumer and business issues, and accompanied them with an overall text message designed to inform and educate. She is also involved in the interactive games industry as a way of stimulating audience interest in investments and education about investment decisions.
