Frank Lloyd , February 04, 2005; 10:53 A.M.
# 11

Wonderful angle, lighting and composition for this image. The pose is "R" rated and worthy of many second looks.

Frank Lloyd 7/7

Dave Gardner - Pittston, Pa [Subscriber] , February 04, 2005; 12:19 P.M.
7/7

I also love the light...it's perfect. Also the tilt adds to the shot. The #1 thing i like about shot is how her long hair sets the shot off....i wonder if it would have worked if she had short hair.

Dave

Thomas Linn , February 04, 2005; 03:27 P.M.

I have to agree with Dave...the hair does make the picture more appealing. The angle will generate second...third...and maybe fourth looks.

Billy Eickholt , February 04, 2005; 07:53 P.M.

hot, i tilt my head to get a better look.

seriously, great composition.

Joe Weisbrod , February 04, 2005; 09:46 P.M.

Had the floor and wall been horizontal this would have been an intense image. Add the sheer intensity of the diagonal and the viewer stays well off-balance. (I keep wanting to turn my head to the side to see better!)

Igor L. , February 05, 2005; 12:37 A.M.

Speechless!

Abel Teddy , February 05, 2005; 07:07 A.M.

great. Beautifull model!

Bryan Karuk , February 05, 2005; 07:34 A.M.

Good image but I don't think the angle does justice to the shot. Had it been straight then it would have been much more intense and dramatic image!

Owl Ink Photography , February 06, 2005; 04:36 A.M.

George Gray , February 06, 2005; 09:26 A.M.

Ultra sexy & brilliantly organised image. I can feel the heat off the screen from her stunning form and position. Well done.

Barry Mac Court , February 11, 2005; 01:16 P.M.

tempting

Corey Esposito , February 11, 2005; 10:39 P.M.

Are you allowed to post this here? Man, the heat is definitley on. Very nice diagonals.

Graham Ord , February 14, 2005; 01:49 A.M.
Happy St. Valentines Day

Finally I get to view some excellant erotic photography. I've seen too much "porn" all this work is very inspiring from lighting, composition, and exposure. I drool for the technique as much as for the subject matter

Mark Hicks , February 18, 2005; 06:44 P.M.

Awesome shooting angle...Love it...

William Serson , February 20, 2005; 10:41 A.M.

Wow! Normally these nudes don't turn me on as much as this one! That's quite a pose!

shawn hagedon , April 24, 2005; 12:56 P.M.

grandmas beautiful

Alex Robert , August 16, 2005; 09:42 A.M.

This is a very provocative pose, the angle and the lighting adds something to the suggestive aspect of it too ... Great model ,very erotic shot !

Christopher Jessee , October 03, 2005; 08:30 P.M.
Nice!

I like how she's on her toes, makes it .... mmmm not erotic and erotic at the same time... I don't know.. great photo!

richard lloyd , November 22, 2005; 09:18 A.M.
A better "Waiting for..."

I really appreciate your shots, the drama of pose and lighting in combination is truly striking. I find that the hair pull in this shot adds a level of tension that might have made the title "Waiting for..." even more appropriate for this shot. Truly a fantastic shot.

3/3 ????

Who the F*** could rate this photo a 3/3????

Even if you don't like art nudes (in which case I think you should skip them, rather than let your personal issues drag someone else down), there is NOTHING below average about this photograph.

Beautiful shot, Igor. And even if you've done a few with the wheel, I still find it more original than a lot of the nudes posted here ... and the light, detail ... ah ... everything so well done. But that's what I've come to expect of you.

Best Yet ...

Have been watching your stuff for quite some time now, and though I'm not always as wild about your industrial nudes as other folks often are, I have to say that this is a truly beautiful piece of work. I think it may be your best yet! Keep up the good work, it's photos like your that keep me coming back (and contributing) to Photo.Net!

Hoang Tran , February 05, 2005; 09:49 P.M.

I love every bit of this foto, from skin tone to the management of line flowing, and the contrast of textures. If someone can carved this out of stone that it could be placed somewhere in the Louvre. IMHO you could crop the top a bit more.

Kevin Patrick Sidler , February 06, 2005; 06:00 A.M.

well done. Only the white thing under her shoe is bad.

Timo Hartikainen [Frequent poster] , December 30, 2004; 03:35 P.M.

Very good, I agree with Michael about that white dirt thing in her shoe.

Igor Amelkovich [Current POW Recipient] , December 31, 2004; 12:39 A.M.

It is DoubleMint

John Keiffer , December 31, 2004; 08:07 P.M.
DoubleMint - That's just too funny.

I have to say that I'm not sure what you are trying to say by having her wearing her shoes... However, you are far to good with your lighting techniques (reflecting light right of the bottom of her shoes - on purpose of course) for me to have thought is was a mistake. You are far too good, and although I don't know why you did it, it is obvious that you meant it.

Daniel Mejias , January 04, 2005; 06:13 A.M.

I find the photo to be a mix between a Film Noir still and a Weegee crime scene shot. The gum on her shoe is perfect. The first thing that came to my mind was "Gum Shoe". The lighting is exceptional and the thought behind the composition is awesome.

Nils Andriessen , January 09, 2005; 08:48 A.M.

Interesting how people differ from opinions. As always a wonderfull photo. But the shoe?? why? why the gum. What happend to the girl? Well now I'm writing this ... maybe to let me ask these things ...

kind regards, Nils A.

Cristina Fumi , January 09, 2005; 09:58 A.M.

wonderful shot! you are so talented! I love the gum too!

Marco Brivio , January 15, 2005; 08:37 A.M.

Portrait of young girl # 3

Critiques

Yann ROMAGNOLI , June 02, 2005; 07:52 A.M.
WOW

There's something in her right eye which disturbs me a little but ... Such a nice portrait ... So soft, so beautiful ! Pretty model, graceful face.

Vasilis Apostolopoulos , June 02, 2005; 08:04 A.M.

It is an almost perfect portrait, but the reflection in the eye is disturbing. The same portrait with the eyes clear of this annoying reflection would be indeed perfect. I do not know if in this case a polarizer would cut the reflection

Amar Khoday [Subscriber] , June 02, 2005; 10:32 A.M.

Igor, beautifully captured expression. I wasn't sure how I felt about the toning at first but it has grown on me.

Roberto Roseano , June 02, 2005; 11:43 A.M.
Another great shot

The reflection in the eyes (and the position of the eyes) is certainly disturbing, but it just makes the difference. Bravo. mandi, Roberto

The kind of face you do not lie to very good.

Kari Wilton [Subscriber] , August 24, 2007; 02:45 P.M.

Hmm...I'm gonna have to go against form here a little bit and say that I really dislike this photo. There is something incredibly inhuman about it. She has no expression, no flaws...I get no real sense of who she is or why I should care about her...why not just photograph a mannequin? In looking through your portfolio this seems to be a theme - your interest in women as subjects seems to be restricted to the surface forms only and have absolutely no senstivity to what makes them truly erotic - their souls. Perhaps as a woman I want something different from your male audience...I can appreciate that...but as a woman I have to tell you that I think that the beauty and eroticism you photograph lacks depth and if you have any interest in really being an artist, it would be nice to see you get past your technique and actually make a connection with your subjects...you might be surprised at how sexy that can be.

Margaret Woodall [Subscriber] [Frequent poster] , August 24, 2007; 10:53 P.M.

She is a beautiful model. The photograph is well executed, but I find her lifeless, almost corpselike. Interesting.

John Keiffer , December 15, 2004; 01:08 A.M.

Her position in this shot is a little deformed. Her right buttock make it look like there is a lump on her lower back. And she looks heavier in the front below her right arm (although we know she's not heavy, she is maybe the nicest I've ever seen).

Well musculated body, at the first look it's difficult to guess if there is a man or a women. The shiny touch on her skin give a stronger effect...

Dong HJ , November 30, 2006; 04:58 A.M.
Perfect body, shadow and light.

I like...
the "Attitude" of this photo. Nice. -AB

Dag Hecht , December 20, 2006; 02:59 P.M.
great

Duncan McNab , January 05, 2007; 12:15 P.M.
The eyes - the expression - the lighting - all make this image work well.

Adara Schwartz , March 02, 2007; 09:38 P.M.
The lighting is simply beautiful. However, the model looks cross-eyed which, to me, greatly detracts from the otherwise lovely image.

koen ghesquière , April 24, 2007; 02:19 A.M.
very very
such a nice photo, a top portrait. It shows her beauty and her character!!

Javier González , May 24, 2007; 06:10 A.M.
from my point of view, the image is "quasi" perfect. Even the eyes efect, but, i'd need more light between them. THe tones are beautiful, the D.O.F., the light, the hair....i love this style :)

Ray Viohl , April 20, 2008; 10:51 P.M.
You like this girl. You use her alot.

Wow.

Thomas Doering , June 12, 2007; 07:06 A.M.

As I can see...
...some of my notorious 3/3 voters have already been there ;-)

Well, I don't care about the points I get. But if one finds the photo below average, it would be helpful to get hints about what is wrong with the photo.

If someone does not like the photo, he/she should have reasons.

Regards, Thomas

Jeremy Pohl , June 13, 2007; 12:43 A.M.

Wonderful Shot!
Thomas - Wonderful tones, and over all lines and curves are very nice!

The only thing I would like to see is if you have one that is not croping the knees and hands out. I just wonder how it would look in this fashion...
Still 7/7

Critiques
Theo de By , August 02, 2007; 02:23 A.M.

Thomas, it's the movement of the body (in this case the head and hair) that makes your photos so positively different from your colleagues. Again this is a marvellous example of how you are able to depict this movement showing beautiful anatomy with great lighting. Congratulations! Theo

Steffen Drache , August 02, 2007; 02:28 A.M.

erotisch, provokativ, ohne aber billig zu sein. gut gelungen!

Dean Agar , August 02, 2007; 04:33 A.M.

Another great shot but I'll say to you what I said to Janosch.

Is it really in the spirit of the site to have received nearly 2000 ratings for your photos and yet only take the time to give out a measly 3 ratings?

Thomas Doering , August 02, 2007; 06:16 A.M.

Well,
Dean,

primarily I want to share my photos with others. It is okay to get ratings, but nobody should feel constrained to rate.

I don't want to rate other's photos, as it often can lead to snub the author. This photo here got a rating of 3/3 from one user. So he/she finds the photo completely below average. I suppose that this person has another style of photography and therefore generally does not like my style. However, that person was not able (or didn't want) to just pass my photo.

Some of my photos got very high ratings. When I rate other's photo with bad ratings, one might think that I just want to push my own photos. (Maybe this is also a reason for the 3/3?!) So I better leave it.

If I rate a photo anyhow, it is because I want to, not because I have to.

Kind regards, Thomas

Dean Agar , August 02, 2007; 06:50 A.M.

My point is, you learn from others who take time to offer critiques and ratings. Why not give a bit back? It's not an ego massage site (or at least it shouldn't be).

BTW I think it's safe to discard any 3-3 rating as bitterness when your shots are at your high level.

Alecu Grigore , August 03, 2007; 02:53 A.M.

3/3 rates are anti-genre ratings, not a real evaluation of Aesthetics and Originality.

7/7 for this one, Thomas, even though we share the 1st page on Nudes for this week :p (stooooopid me, ey? :D)

I really like this image. Clean and to the point. The only thing that distracts me slightly from the image as a whole, is the light off her right nipple, otherwise 7/7!

I agree. This is a different photo with a different feel. Everything has been done before it is just a matter of how well it is done. This is well done. Just my opinion.

Franz Heiberschleben , February 27, 2007; 12:35 A.M.
I love the light off her right nipple. I love the extreme contrast of light from left to her right. Unique pose with her hand 'twixt her legs. Great expression.

Superb
Thomas, this is one of the most impressive shots I have ever seen (and I've seen a lot.) The pose is strong, blatantly sexual, while demure. That's a tough balance to achieve and you have hit the mark. Wow!
