Exclusive: Debbie Rowe Responds to Your Letters

    September 17, 2004

This week on ET, we introduced audiences to the real DEBBIE ROWE behind the facade: we were invited exclusively into her $2 million, Beverly Hills mansion, met her beloved dogs and good friends -- and even accompanied her into the doctor's office for a cosmetic makeover!

Viewers from around the world expressed their support and concern for Debbie on ETonline. Now, MICHAEL JACKSON's former wife responds to your well wishes directly from the ET set on Stage 28 with MARY HART!

"It's nice to be able to say what I've wanted to say," Debbie tells Mary. "I really appreciate you guys doing it and thank you very much."

With reactions from viewers ranging as far as Sweden, Greece and even Serbia, people have been watching Debbie's struggle to create a new life for herself from all around the world and have responded to her story. The positive, encouraging response was incredible.

"Thank you very much, guys, it's very sweet," said a touched Debbie. "I don't see my life as being any different than anybody else in the sense that I have a home, and I'm very happy, and I have my pets, and I have my horses, and I have school, and I'm not unlike most people."

A woman who has been under constant media scrutiny ever since she married Jackson and gave him custody of their two children, PARIS and PRINCE MICHAEL, the former dermatology nurse is working hard to put the past behind her and live a life of normalcy. She's currently taking piano lessons and getting a degree in forensics along with a degree in psychology.

"I'm in transition; I'm changing," says Debbie. "I'm getting back into the horse business and I've got my school and I've got the dogs. Growing up, maybe. I don't know."

Earlier this week, we accompanied her as she received micro-dermabrasion, lash tinting, eyebrow and eyeliner tattooing and Thermage at the Woodglen Institute of Aesthetics in Glendora, CA. "I said yeah, bring it on," reports Debbie. "This procedure was great." But Debbie also has a few choice words on extreme makeovers.

"I don't like the extreme makeovers; I have a serious problem with those shows," she says. "I think they're dangerous. Everything that I've had done has been done over a course of four months, and it's very little, because a little bit at a time can make a big difference."

"E' piacevole essere finalmente in grado di dire quello che si è sempre desiderato"
...poi dice che ha molto apprezzato l'interesse del pubblico per le sue dichiarazoni di qualche giorno fa e così ha deciso di rispondere a qualche domanda arrivata alla redazione della tv.

    [SM=g27820]

    Inside Debbie Rowe's Extreme Makeover!

    September 15, 2004

Debbie Rowe's face is painted with a grid as she readies for a thermage treatment.

Going back to school and working in the field of horse breeding, Debbie is moving on with her life.

Send your thoughts and messages to Debbie Rowe HERE!

All this week, DEBBIE ROWE is speaking exclusively with ET about her new life after MICHAEL JACKSON, how she's lived in seclusion from the prying media and what she's doing next.

Tonight on ET, the ex-wife of the troubled pop star and the mother of his two oldest children, PRINCE MICHAEL and PARIS, takes us into the doctor's office to watch her receive all-new cosmetic procedures!

"I'm here to be tortured," Debbie jokes to the ET cameras as she readies for her new look.

The former dermatology nurse was a little edgy about being the patient and she tried to calm her nerves with humor. Along with her new life, Debbie wants a new look, so she headed to the Woodglen Institute of Aesthetics in Glendora, CA.

"I have a ton of sun damage," she says. "Lots of, 'Debbie, you're so looking 45.'"

Debbie started out with a simple lash tinting, but eyebrow waxing raised the pain level a bit.

"Woman dies from waxing!" says Debbie, laughing. "But she looks so good!"

The tension increased when it was time to touch up her tattooed brows and a little tattooed eyeliner -- but Debbie was pleased with the results: "The thing is now I actually look in the mirror and it's like, 'Ooh.'"

The day continues with micro-dermabrasion, which is designed to rid the face and neck of dead skin. Then she's "numbed" for thermage, a process that uses intense heat to rejuvenate and lift the muscles in the face. This gives Debbie a little anxiety, but the staff does a good job at calming her down. A grid is then printed on Debbie's face, along with outlining the areas in need of work, to guide the technicians.

"I'm losing my mind," jokes Debbie, "but it's fun."

Exclusive: Debbie Rowe Takes Back Her Life

    September 14, 2004

Rowe fills her house and her time with her adored dogs.

DEBBIE ROWE, the ex-wife of troubled superstar MICHAEL JACKSON and the mother of his two oldest children, PRINCE MICHAEL and PARIS, is speaking out! The reclusive, former dermatology nurse has come exclusively to ET for her most intimate interview yet.

Tonight, Debbie tells us all about her cosmetic procedures, from the eyebrows to the eyeliner tattoo, and how she's taking control of her life. Get the interview everyone wanted and can't stop talking about!

"I had eyebrows and eyeliner tattooed, so I have, like, [permanent] makeup," Debbie tells ET about her brand-new look. "How lovely is that? And I cut my hair and I'm losing weight, so I'm being selfish. I'm doing a couple things for Debbie!"

Debbie says she's also taking piano lessons and going back to school -- earning two degrees. "I went back to school and I had a reason to get up and get out of bed and go someplace and do something," she explains.

Due to a confidentiality agreement, Debbie is not allowed to speak of Jackson or her two young children. "Even if I could, I don't know if I would," she says. "I'm not talking about being a parent. I can talk about being a friend to my friends; about being my uncle's niece; I can talk about being a caretaker for my dogs. But I won't talk about my family. It's off limits to everyone."

Debbie, who married Jackson in 1996 after meeting the "King of Pop" in the dermatologist office where she worked, admits that being a target for the media's constant attention has caused her to stay inside her Beverly Hills home for weeks at a time ("They can't wait to get, like, a crappy picture of you," she says). In January Debbie was hounded by reporters and photographers outside the chic Los Angeles eatery The Ivy.

"I started to freak out," she says of the intimidating experience. "People started running across the street and one guy almost got hit by a car. By the time we finished, there were about 150 people out there. Then, we were chased by cars, which was even scarier. That put me in hiding for three weeks. I didn't leave the house."

Keeping her company these days are her beloved dogs and horses. She acquired one of the horses from auction after her sister sent pictures and she agreed to take it. "I love being with the horses. Those were animals I grew up with."
Debbie says that although she doesn't rule it out for the future, she's not interested in a relationship right now.

"I don't know if it would be fair for me to have a relationship with anyone," she says. "Because I'm trying to figure out what I want and that's a lot to ask of someone. To hang out and wait for me."
