Michael Jackson really did turn up on Friday and we now have some pictures from the event on Friday night.
Earlier in the day Michael Jackson visited the Houses of Parliament before heading off for Paddington Station. A specially comissioned train was to bring Michael to St David's. The first problem of the day started here as hundreds of fans stormed the train delaying its departure to Exeter.
The train arrived in Exeter on time and Michael was again mobbed, this time there were no problems though as he was ushered off into his Limo where he was taken to the Royal Clarence Hotel. Meanwhile back at St James' Park the main event was starting with Gemini FM doing the warm up. First on the bill were Spoonbender who played a couple of songs.
Next up were the very impressive Twilight Players with some very slick dance moves leading onto Luke Dawson and then the Adzibo Pan African Dance Assemble.
Next up was the moment that had everyone in the ground stunned - Michael Jackson had arrived at the Stadium and climbed into a 1930's replica Burgundy Great Gatsby along with Uri Geller and David Blaine just outside the St James' Road Terrace.
The doors opened and in they came, leading to raptuos applause and screams from the crowd. Driving a little way onto the pitch and Michael to the bemusement of his security team suddenly jumped out of the car and ran towards some of the disadvantaged children and met them all.
Michael then came up to the stage and was introduced by James Whale whilst being presented with an Exeter City shirt with 'Jackson 1' printed on the back and a certificate to make him an Honorary Director of the Football Club.
After Michael had done his talk about helping Children with Aids Charity and Support For Africa he stood at the bottom of the stage as David Blaine did his piece. All back into the car and the security team hit problems again, several people were stood at the side of the pitch.
The car was supposed to do a lap of the whole pitch so that everyone had a good look at the megastar, unfortunately several fans swarmed around the car and the journey was cut short and ushered back out of the ground. Once the cafuffle died down several people started to leave the ground.
Those that did leave still missed two very good acts starting with Pattie Boulaye and her gospel choir and then Bless-d brought the curtains down on what had been a very enjoyable and successful evening.
Uri has promised more celebrities at the Park, who will turn up next?
