LOS ANGELES — The estranged father of Michael Jackson's (search) accuser asked a court Tuesday to allow him supervised visits with the child, saying he's concerned by reports the boy is seriously ill.



The father, who pleaded no contest to child cruelty (search) in 2002 and spousal abuse (search) in 2001, has been barred from seeing his two sons and a daughter for two years. The boy's mother filed for divorce in 2001.

The man's attorney, Russell Halpern, said visitation should be granted, noting that the father has completed classes in parenting and anger management. The request was expected to be taken up Wednesday in Superior Court.

Michael Manning, the mother's divorce attorney, declined comment.

Jackson has pleaded innocent to seven counts of performing lewd or lascivious acts on a child under 14 and two counts of administering an intoxicating agent.

Jamie Masada, a Hollywood club owner who runs a camp for underprivileged children and helped arrange the boy's introduction to Jackson, said last week the boy's condition appears to have improved lately. Masada had said in November the child, who lost a kidney to cancer, was "not doing very good."

La scorsa settimana Jamie Masada, proprietario di un locale ad Hollywood e che si occupa di bambini sfortunati (è lui che ha fatto conoscere Jackson ed il ragazzino)ha affermato che ultimamente le condizioni del bambino sembrano essere migliorate.
Lo stesso Masada dice che il ragazzino, che ha già perso un rene a causa del cancro, a novembre "non stava molto bene".
