This is the full speech as broadcast in 2002.

"Hello everybody. Hello to you wonderful people of Exeter. To the great supporters of the Exeter City Football Club. Welcome to all the great fans that have come from here and far. To all you children.
Im very happy, very happy to be here with you today. Today, today we come here to support children. We come here to support children with AIDS. To help, to help beyond these of those affected by HIV and AIDS.

We more help them to build a good future. All of us working together for them. A future without prejudice. For these children and their families.

We are here to support and help the people of Africa to find a solution in the fight against the swear of HIV AIDS ... and malaria ... through education and awareness, we aim at conviction but we help with cure.

We are here to support you, the supporters and players of this great football club.

Sadly, sadly, we live in a state of fear. Everyday we hear of war on the news, on the radio and television and the newspapers, always of war.

We hear of nations hurting each other, of neighbours hurting each other, of families hurting each other and the children killing each other.

We must learn to live and love each other before its too late. We have to stop! We have to stop the prejudice, we have to stop the hating, we have to stop living in fear of our own neighbours.

I would like all of you now to take the hand of the person to the left and to the right. Go ahead! Right now! I mean it! Dont be shy! Do it! It starts now! To the person next to you. To the left and the right. I mean it. Right now! Go ahead! Dont be shy. Do it! Do it! Now, tell the person ... tell the person next to you that you care for them. Tell them that you care for them. Tell them that you love them. Tell them that you love them. This is what makes the difference.

Together ... (Michael laughing) ... (audience screaming) ... together we can make a change of the world. Together we can help to stop racism. Together we can help to stop prejudice. We can help the world live without fear. Its our only hope, without hope we are lost.

non mi addentro in discussioni off topic, ma non sono molto d'accordo con quello che dici. so di andare contro conrrente, anche qui nel forum ci ho litigato parecchio per questa cosa. infatti l'avevo tralasciato apposta.
Anche se avessi ragione tu, e mike si riferisse al surriscaldamento globale, uno scenario catastrofico a quattro anni col raggiungimento di un punto di non ritorno per quanto riguarda l'aumento della temperatura, credo non sia scientificamente possibile. e mike non parlava a vanvera.

è vero quello che dici, il surriscaldamento globale non porterà a danni catastrofici in soli 4 anni. ma non ho mai detto questo.
secondo me, ribadisco, i 4 anni sono solamente gli anni che Mike sapeva di avere a disposizione per sensibilizzare la gente attraverso i suoi concerti...non perchè nel 2012 accadrà qualcosa, ma perchè questa era la tempistica dei suoi progetti futuri.

Non esiste alcuna profezia dei Maya sulla presunta fine del mondo nel 2012 e non credo neanche che MJ fosse a conoscenza di particolari segreti.Ho letto anch'io che i ballerini erano stati ingaggiati per 4 anni, TII era il suo tour di addio ed il modo con cui MJ ci ha sempre spronati a migliorare per cambiare questo brutto mondo era proprio questo, dato che non era solito rilasciare interviste o fare comparsate qua e là...alla fine del tour saremmo rimasti "soli", ci lasciava, come dire, il testimone...

Se c'è qualcuno che può davvero riuscire a smuovere le coscienze sono proprio quelle persone che credono nelle favole, ma questo non basta, per FARE qualcosa di concreto bisogna viverle le favole, renderle reali...per noi e per gli altri...

Giusto, ma per rendere le favole reali così da viverle, il sistema c'è, c'è sempre stato, è la legge d'attrazione.
Siamo però abituati a focalizzare il nostro pensiero molto più su quello che non vogliamo che su quello che vogliamo davvero. Invece di pensare insistentemente a ciò che amiamo, continuiamo a focalizzarci su ciò che temiamo, e così è quello che poi si manifesta, è normale.

Cambiamo pensiero, cambiamo realtà. E' questo il cambiamento delle coscienze da mettere in pratica. E' questo che Mike ci ha sempre chiesto di fare, da Man in the mirror in poi...
