Brian May Gives Opinion On Situation
Queen legend provides insight
"Lots of time to think. I feel desperately sad for Michael Jackson. Everybody seems to assume he's guilty already, but it's certainly hard for me to believe this boy has a single bad bone in his body. I haven't had any significant contact with Michael for some years (aside from a brief conversation at Liza's wedding, which sadly turned out to be doomed (the marriage, not the conversation!). But the Michael Jackson I know would be incapable of any kind of 'attack' on a child. I notice the little boy in question was suffering from cancer - it's easy to imagine a generous (and perhaps naive) MJ feeling a great call to help. And forming a friendship which might be totally innocent, but could be (perhaps deliberately) misconstrued to bring him down. I shall definitely be considering him innocent until his guilt is proved to MY satisfaction. I don't trust anybody's motives these days - at least no-one who can make money or attain power by causing pain to others.
Now Michael Jackson, who has worked his whole life to make music that made the world dance - him, instinctively, I trust.
Love
Brian"
