Michael - An Inspiration

The famous Turkish poet Aziz Dogdu defended Michael Jackson in his recent interview with Kanat Literature Magazine. Below are excerpts from the interview where Aziz Dogdu talkes about Michael:


Kanat: "Who, as an idol, inspires or inspired you the most?"
Aziz Dogdu: "There is one and only icon for me, the King of Pop - Michael Jackson. His attitude, vision of life, innocence and the artistic quality gives me inspiration as well as a positive role model. I try to be like him. I wish to have such loyal fans like his."

Kanat: "Michael may be the King of Pop, but he is out now, he has done his era already?"

Aziz Dogdu: "He may be out for you, but for me he is definetly still in and he is the most talented artist of all time and his era will never be over." .... "The album ('Invincible') inspired me much. Especially, the song "Speechless" is probably the best and most touching song Michael has ever done." ....

Kanat: "Michael is having trouble in his carrer. Do you believe that he will release the right album which would blaze the universe?"

Aziz Dogdu: "Yes, I do. As I said, he is such a talented artist." ... "Even when he makes an album blazing the universe, the media would never be satisfied. They try to present him freaky or as an alien. If I were such a famous artist like Michael, I wouldn't count on media's comments about me. His fans know what person he is like. The media would never show is human sides. That's why I turn down some interviews and only do with the ones I find are qualified. I don't know his situation right now, but all my support his for him."

Aziz Dogdu is the first Turkish poet to be admitted to the American Poets Society and inducted into the International Library of Poetry. He is a loyal fan of Michael Jackson which is well known in Turkey and provides MJFC regularly with the latest sales and charts information on Michael's albums in turkey.
