Okkaaayyy. How can I put this politely? er, WRONG. WRONG WRONG WRONG WRONG WRONG.
1) I already said it wasn't official. Is there an echo in here? here? here? ...
2) I find it totally LAUGHABLE that you even attempt to judge this without seeing it? You don't know what you're talking about, so kindly zip it, unless you can talk with authority about what you know to be fact.
3) The quality of the video and sound happen to be excellent. Cuh! Our transfer of the Munich concert became "the" version that every fan was after...
4) if you don't believe me, try looking at the feedback for the last box set sold - one that the buyer paid £130+ for ... he says in the ebay feedback for that transaction - "Superb item. superfast del. Excellent Ebayer Thank you". That says EVERYTHING you need to know. Period.
5) If you don't want to buy it, don't. You clearly have a choice. Or are you the fan who believes only a precious "few" should have access to the rare stuff that never gets an official release?
6) It's not taking a penny away from Michael, because these concerts are NOT COMMERCIALLY available ANYWHERE. If they were out officially, do you really think we would even bother to put these out???
7) Prejudice is ignorance. Challenge it everywhere and everytime.
I love you! (waves V sign)
WOW they look incredible!!!
I would NEVER buy anything from someone if I thought they were ripping MJ off and making money off him.
This is not what this person is doing though. Where did every single fan that owns a copy of any MJ concert get it from?Another FAN!
The only concert that is official is the Dangerous Bucharest Tour from "The Ultimate Collection".
If the tours were official then it would be very wrong, but they're not.
This person has put alot of work into it and it looks fantastic!
I would buy one but I don't have enough money because English money converted into Australian money means I'd have to pay three times that!
Congratulations though because it is stunning
mjdvd says:
respect that people have different opinions.
But MJCollector; you're simply wrong, I AM a fan, an extremely loyal and long-time fan. You have no power to undo that just because our opinions differ, get real. You can tell how much of a fan I am by the time I put into the stuff I do, (much to the annoyance of people who want to buy stuff from my site(!), cos attention to detail takes TIME and dedication.
Every single dvd I have made all started life as something I made FOR MYSELF - as a fan. I wanted to create the products that I had always wanted Michael to release. People saw what I did and wanted it too. Word of mouth grew and that's where we are today.
I would be the FIRST in line to buy ANY officially released Michael Jackson video or dvd, regardless of whether I already had it or not on "bootleg". Although it does appear that sometimes my dvds have a bit more TLC put into them than the official products themselves (people have said that!).
You tell me what I can do to get the powers that be to release official live dvds, and I'll do it. I have already been very vocal about it through my own channels. Like a man possessed. How I would LOVE to be able to go into a shop and buy it. It would be a hell of a lot easier than putting in all the effort and time to make my own versions!
I wanna finish by saying a big thanks for all the positive feedback, hi to all the mjvids.co.uk site customers, I know you've been waiting AGES ("I'm so sensitive to your pain" LOL) for it's return... it will be worth it.
it's 4am and I'm still having to be awake trying to get all my work done even before I can get to the mjvids work part ;o((
So mjcollector, I feel your position has changed... I thought you were against anything illegal, like swapping? If you swap footage with someone, there is the same chance you warned about that they will not go out and buy it when/if it gets an official release, thus taking money from Michael? Swapping is also illegal!! And if you're swapping rare, unreleased footage, well guess what - that's illegal too, as Michael didn't release it!! Therefore the argument that "swapping is okay, selling is not", isn't really an argument at all!
But apparently now your position is that it's okay to be illegal, it's just the people "makng money" you object to? Well here's a few points...
1) "Swapping" a vhs tape leads to a general degradation of the tape and footage. VHS = bad. Fans tend to keep the original tape and swap a VHS copy, therefore a huge pyramid begins where everytime the footage is swapped, it is degraded more. Hence "tape swapping" only really benefits those at the top of the pyramid, who have a vested interest in keeping rare footage, rare... Meanwhile the rest of the not-so-lucky fans have to make do with really crappy quality footage, and in the end, no one will swap a dead fish for that.
2) Thanks to the age of DVD, it is possible to copy the footage and disc digitally without losing quality.
3) Now if you're talking, just burn/record the footage to a blank disc, no menus or covers - a kinda "no frills" thing, then that's fine to go about swapping with. And there are plenty of people now that do such "no frills" stuff, I'm sure. They're just interested in the bare footage. That is not mjvids though. That's not the way I do things - that's not the way I would like to keep my MJ footage.
4) A lot of time and effort is put into these things at my OWN expense. The point is: I design them for myself FIRST. We're talking menus and covers and extras and stuff. I'm a professional - my TIME is expensive. Thus the reason it's nearly 5am and I'm still working because I'm trying to do my job and mjvids stuff too. The site can be quite a heavy burden, actually. Let's not even go to the hardware and software requirements. And if people want a copy of what I created, there ARE cost and time implications like it or not. Obviously not, in your case ;o)
I guess basically, in your fantasy, you'd like me to do all the hard work of getting the footage, spending days, weeks, months on producing a nice dvd with menus and covers, then giving it away to you free, or swapping it for a bad tape of poor quality footage which I had anyway, and thinking myself extremely lucky for the privaledge?
5) There have been occasions in the past, where I have swapped a dvd for rare footage. Unfortunately I tend to have most stuff. So, what should I do? Should I just keep all this footage to myself until one sunny distant day when somebody just happens to be offering what I want? That's keeping it all to myself, for the benefit of myself, isn't it?That's not giving people the opportunity to see it, is it?
6) Whilst footage remains unreleased officially, there will ALWAYS remain a demand and market for it. Just look at how many different sellers there are now. There have always been sellers - years ago I ended up paying £25 for a absolutely horrible, black and white VHS version of the Yokohama concert. There was a price to be paid because the footage was rare and hard to get (pre-internet), even at that horrible quality. This situation exists with ANY artist.
7) As I mentioned, I am a professional with a very demanding and busy work-life and a decent salary. Mjvids has to be fitted around that. If making money was my main concern, then my site would never had remained closed since April of this year! I did that to have some quality time to finish things off and redesign things, without having to worry about meeting orders. You have no idea how much business I have turned away so that I can take that time out to do things the right way. You have no idea just how much time of my personal and professional life is taken up when the site is actually open.
hence, you don't know what you're talking about. You want your cake, and to be able to eat it, without paying for it! Nice one! Model citizen... lol lol lol
Or... you don't want the cake. In which case why are you even here?! Oh that's right. I forgot. You just don't want other people to have the cake, because you can't have it.
okaaaaaaaaaaay. Now I understand.
