Mi sembrava giusto creare un luogo virtuale dove scambiare ogni tanto due chiacchiere su uno dei più talentuosi ed eclettici registi di tutti i tempi!

Il grande Steven Spielberg!

Per cominciare, vi ricordo l'imminente uscita di questo splendido DVD SET, la più bella saga avventurosa della storia del cinema!


Tutti i TRE i film rimasterizzati e restaurati! Più un quarto DVD contenente "macking of", scene inedite e interviste con il regista(Spielberg), il produttore (George Lucas) e, ovviamente, il protagonista (Harrison Ford)!

Pensa che soltanto un attimo fa ero in giro sul web a cercare news su di lui...
Ieri pomeriggio ho visto il suo primo film, DUEL, del 1971, e mi è piaciuto tantissimo! Una storia molto semplice, che però è allo stesso tempo una metafora del duello tra l'uomo e la macchina, in un mondo dove si fa sempre più pressante la minaccia tecnologica (il pessimismo di fondo di Spielberg si ripeterà anche in molti altri film, tra cui Jurassic Park ecc.).

Duel (1971)E' stato il primo vero successo professionale di Steven (aveva solo 24 anni!), anche se è stato realizzato per la televisione. E' stato distribuito nei cinema solo nel 1983, dopo il grande successo di film come "Incontri ravvicinati del terzo tipo", "I predatori dell'arca perduta" ed "E.T.".
Pensa che è stato tratto da un racconto breve di un certo Matheson pubblicato su "Playboy"

Si, tra l'altro, la versione dell'83 è ampliata di circa 15 minuti: le scene aggiunte riguardano soprattutto la moglie del protagonista.

Steven Spielberg, di origini ebree, è figlio di un ingegnere elettronico e di una pianista, Leah Adler. Ne ha fatti tanti di belli...al momento, io voto "I predatori dell'arca perduta" e "Schindler list"!
"Minority report" è molto bello (ho il dvd), un avvincente "noir" ambientato nel futuro!
"Jurassic Park" è un innovativo giocattolone pieno di FX rivoluziuonari; giova precisare che, mentre montava "Jurassic" via satellite, il grande Steven lavorava al suo capolavoro "serio", "Schindler list"!

Io credo che MJ, da un punto di vista tematico, è entrato nel momento "serio" con HIStory. In fondo è Michael jackson, non un altro tipo di cantante.
Inoltre, a parte i 45 minuti iniziali, non trovo "Salvate il soldato Ryan" così "serio", rivaluterei di più, invece, un film come "Jurassic Park", che, come altri film, ha l'apparenza di un giocattolone spensierato (come lo potrebbe essere "Ghosts"), ed invece nasconde un'ideologia di fondo, molto di più di altri film "seri".

Grande cmq Schindler's List, uno dei migliori in assoluto.

Da un punto divista puramente affettivo "E.T.", perchè è collegato a tuta una serie di ricordi della mia infanzia, quindi è il film a me più caro.
Poi c'è "Schindler's List": la regia, il montaggio, le musiche, la trovata geniale della bambina "in rosso".
Anche "A.I." mi è piaciuto molto, anche perchè in origine era stato concepito dal mio regista preferito, Stanley Kubrick.

...è facile nascondere un "ideologia di fondo" in qualsiasi "giocattolone"....molto facile.
Cmq non volevo sminuire "Jurassic", a mio avviso un capolavoro nel suo genere.
Ma come filone "serio" io intendo (e nota bene le virgolette) quello collegato con la nostra realtà storica, con il mondo reale in cui viviamo, o in cui i nostri nonni hanno vissuto. Argomenti come il razzismo("Il colore viola", "Amistad") la seconda guerra mondiale ("Soldato Ryan", splendido dall'inizio alla fine, e pieno di spunti di riflessione ben oltre i primi 20 minuti che, anzi, sono quelli più "entertainment-style") l'olocausto("Schindler's list"), raccontati magistralemente da Spielberg; inoltre con questi film Spielberg ha raggiunto la piena maturità espressiva. Non credo che Mike l'abbia ancora raggiunta,dal punto di vista musicale, nemmeno con "HIStory".
Cmq non è mia intenzione aprire un confronto tra Mike e Steven, uno musicista, l'altro regista.

Non so, non dico che "Salvate il soldato Ryan" sia brutto, assolutamente, ma non riesco a collocarlo tra i miei film di guerra preferiti (e pensa che la prima volta che lo vidi rimasi estasiato!).
Quanto ad A.I. è davvero un peccato che non sia piaciuto al grande pubblico (e in effetti manco tanto alla critica), a me piace dalla prima all'ultima scena, in tutta la sua alternanza di stili!

"Schindler's List", ma cmq ammetto di amare quasi ttuti i suo film. Adoro "Salvate il soldato Ryan" ma cmq ammetto che film di guerra ce n'è di migliori, ma sono veramente pochi, cito "Apocalypse Now" di Coppola e "La sottile linea rossa" di Terrence Malick e "Full metal jacket" di Kubrick.

"The Goonies" però è prodotto e scritto da Steven, ma è diretto da Richard Donner. Stritti, sapevi che è in programma un sequel???

"Catch me if you can" secondo me è stato uno dei film più belli del 2003!

Già acquistato il dvd-set di Indiana? Mi farò un bel regalo di Natale....

Premetto che Adoro Spielberg, a mio parere il suo miglior film è senza ombra di dubbio Artificial Intelligience.
E' un film che dietro alla trama, relativamente semplice, e comunque ben raccontata e coinvolgente, apre tantissimi spunti di riflessione sui quali si potrebbe discutere per settimane e scrivere enciclopedie: l'importanza dell'immaterialità in ciascuno di noi (i sentimenti, le emozioni,lo "spirito" come viene citato nel film) che ci rende veramente unici e irriproducibili, il rapporto tra l'uomo e la tecnologia, la bioetica, l'ecologia e l'ambiente, il consumismo e la spettacolarizzazione esibizionistica della nostra società, il ruolo dell'informazione nel futuro, ecc. ecc. ecc. Inoltre ho letto nel film (la forza del cinema è anche questa,ossia che chiunque può leggere e scoprire significati particolari e ulteriori rispetto ad altri), l'importanza che ha la determinazione di ciascuno di noi nell'ottenere qualcosa: il desiderio del piccolo David di essere amato dalla madre è tale, che gli permette di penetrare e rompere qualsiasi barriera spazio-temporale e fisica, come risulta dal fatto che riesce a trasformare il suo sogno e la favola di pinocchio in realtà, rimanendo a pregare e a implorare per 2000 anni, e al risveglio, pur con un realtà completamente mutata, la sola cosa che vuole, anche per un solo giorno, è rivedere sua madre ed essere il suo solo figlio da amare.
