TV to Broadcast Jackson Trial Re-Enactments

LOS ANGELES — An American and a British television company found a creative way around the ban on cameras for Michael Jackson's (search) child molestation trial: dramatic re-enactments.

E! Entertainment Television and satellite company British Sky Broadcasting, BSkyB, are joining to present daily recreations of the trial, executives announced Tuesday.

Given international interest in the pop star's case and the lack of cameras, the series will "bring the trial to life," said Ted Harbert, president and chief executive officer of E! Networks.

The partnership calls for five daily half-hour programs to air during the course of the trial, scheduled to start Jan. 31.

Court transcripts will be used to highlight the previous day's testimony and court events, with each network packaging the recreations with its own hosts. The versions will be produced by E! News and, in Britain, Sky News (search).

On E!, the series also will include commentary by legal analysts. A Saturday wrap-up show is planned.

The series also will air on E! International Network, seen in more than 50 countries.

Una televisione americana ed una inglese hanno trovato un modo creativo di aggirare il divieto di introdurre telecamere durante il processo per molestie sessuali che vede imputato Michael Jackson.

E! Entertainment Television e British Sky Broadcasting, BSkyB, si uniranno per presentare ricostruzioni giornaliere del processo.

Dato l'interesse internazionale per il caso della pop star e la mancanza di telecamere, la serie "farà vivere il processo" dice Ted Harbert, presidente di E!Networks.

La collaborazione prevederà cinque programmi giornalieri di mezz'ora ciascuno che andranno in onda durante i giorni del processo il cui inizio è previsto per il 31 gennaio.

Trascrizioni degli atti saranno usati per fare il punto sulle testimonianze e gli eventi processuali del giorno precedente, ed i network riempiranno lo spazio dei programmi con i loro ospiti. Le versioni verranno prodotte da E!News e, in Inghilterra, Sky news.

Su E! la serie includerà anche il commento di esperti legali.
E' previsto anche uno show riassuntivo il sabato.

La serie sarà messa in onda anche su E!International Network, un canale visibile in più di 50 nazioni.
