The American/Senegalese star reveals all in a new interview
Fast shaping up to become one of the biggest breakthrough artists of 2006, hip-hop star Akon has revealed this week plans to record a duet with Michael Jackson.
The St. Lois-born star, who was raised in Dakar, Senegal, landed a smash hit in 2004 with "Lonely", and returns this month with the monster hit "Smack That" featuring Eminem, which looks set to hit the U.S. No. 1 this week.
However, in an exclusive interview with edgy pop news site Pop Revenge this week, the 25-year-old confirms he will be adding an even more impressive name to his collaboration list - appearing on the King of Pop's new album, which is being produced by Will.I.Am
"The track with Eminem has gone really well, so now Michael Jackson is next," he says. "It will be a great duet, I am planning for it now, it will happen as soon as possible.
"I'm a huge fan of Michael, I know we will do great things in the studio, it will be a unique sound."
