Non si capisce bene da dove saltano fuori 40 milioni di copie (due anni fa la dichiarazione ufficiale sony diceva 60 milioni di copie), ma il libro dei primati è una fonte attendibile
E' una cifra impressionante

Michael Jackson picks up 8 World Records
Today Michael Jackson were asked to visit north west London to receive his collection of World Record certificates by the Guinness World Records. Michael Jackson is one of Guinness World Records longest standing record holders.
Jackson was presented with certificates for eight accolades, including the most recent for the Most Successful Entertainer of All Time.
"We always expect the unexpected here at Guinness World Records. From the world’s tallest man, woman with the longest fingernails and most pierced woman, we’re used to all walks of life stopping by the office, but we haven’t been this excited since we met the Queen last year. Michael is one of the greatest superstars of all time and his unwavering success has kept him at the very top of the record breaking charts throughout his career. We’re absolutely delighted that Michael holds Guinness World Records in such high regard and honoured that he’s taken time out of his busy schedule to stop by and collect them in person", Guinness Editor, Glenday, said.
Jackson were followed by fans from his hotel to the Guinness World Records Headquarters. Being a fan of Guinness World of Records since childhood, he was given a private tour by the Guinness Editor, Craig Glenday.
"I've always been a big fan of the book. Thank you so much. It’s a great honour to visit the Guinness World Records offices", he said.
